She also brings up one of the dirty little secrets of professional services – charging more than eight hours a day or not. How a firm handles the true internal reporting and billing of hours that professionals actually work is a real indicator of their true ethical culture. And making sure professionals don’t work themselves to death in the interest of keeping their job is their moral responsibility.
